The Trade Fair Essen with is 50 trade fairs and shows belongs to the top ten trade fair locations in Germany. International, national and regional specialist and consumer trade fairs attract 1.4 million visitors each year.

The purpose of the project was supporting the selection and implementation of a parking management system.
For monitoring of the installation, commissioning of the chosen standard parking management system and implemtation and adaptation of the system infrastructure, a general cost estimate and schedule was established.
Initially the requirements of a parking management system as well as the interfaces to existing and planned third-party systems were identified during a workshop with the customer. Therefore it was defined, which tasks were supposed to be completed by the parking management software, for instance functions of billing, managing and reservation. According to the identification of requirements, the processes, based on the target concept, were evaluated and adapted to the relevance and impacts of the IT systems.
On this basis, a detailed list of criteria was established, which included the functions and procedures of the software. Additionally, the establishment of the tendering documents and the evaluation of the submitted offers were supported as well as the implementation of the contract awarding.
During the implementation and realization the awarding of the services were supported and the specialist planners were guided according to the contractual obligations. Furthermore an ongoing contentual control of the compatibility of the planning services regarding to the customer’s requirement specifications was performed.
